Life is filled with joys, disappointments, hopes, and hurts. As women, it helps to share all the ups and downs of our life journeys with others. Our people. Our tribe. Our community. God Hears Her wants to be that for you.

Step into this space and know that you are not alone on this journey. We are a community of women that share our experiences and find encouragement in each other’s stories. And most importantly, we remind each other to turn to God who loves each one of us more than we can begin to comprehend.

Swimming with Elephants

The high school youth group I attended with my boyfriend before I became a Christian was at one point studying the book of Job. I couldn’t find this apparent vocational guide in the new NIV Study Bible my mom bought me for Christmas. It seemed weird to me that it wasn’t the book of Jobs, unless maybe there was just one job that was appropriate for Christians? It was time to turn to the book of Job, but, alas, the Bible’s table of contents was not alphabetical. I didn’t grow up performing “sword drills” in Sunday school classes, and, if you must know, I didn’t know, at first, that “Job” was pronounced J-OH-B, not J-AH-B.

Refining Fire

As much as I’ve tried, as many hours and countless miles that I have put into it, and as much as I’ve tried to convince myself otherwise, I’m finally ready to admit something—I hate running.
