Show Notes

  • “So many people do not believe they are worthy of love.”

  • “We are worthy of love no matter our past mistakes, relationship status, career choice, or where we come from.”

  • Dove Survey: 96% of women wouldn’t use the word beautiful to describe themselves.

  • “The enemy studies what we struggle with and sets out to confirm it. He throws up mirrors to confirm the lies we believe about ourselves.”

  • “My heart had to be shattered so I could see the holes God wanted to fill . . .”

  • “We struggle with being vulnerable because someone has used it against us. We shame ourselves and live in that shame . . . When we live in secrecy, we live in isolation.”

  • “God already knows all our junk and accepts us.”

  • “The distance between the private self and the public self is the degree to which we have integrity.”

  • “Almost daily, measure between the two selves and bring it to God . . . let Him show me what He sees and hears in me. He helps me correct it.”

  • Eryn’s exercise: 1) Admit the lies we live in by taking a dry erase marker and writing all the lies on the mirror. 2) Grab a Bible, read Scripture and truth over the lies, and erase the lies as you pray through them and read them. This releases those lies to God.
