  • In 1992, Xochitl injured her back and now lives in chronic pain.

  • “What are we waiting for? . . . We’re all waiting on God for something.”

  • “It’s not going to be today forever, but we can trust God today because we can trust Him forever.” 

  • “I notice that I ask for things from God and He doesn’t give them to me and I’m like, why? Sometimes I receive those things later, look back, and realize I wasn’t ready for them when I asked.”

Xochitl Dixon is an Our Daily Bread author who contributed to the God Hears Her devotional. She is also the author of several books including her most recent titled Waiting for God: Trusting Daily in God’s Plan and Pace. She battles chronic pain, but has found God to be faithful in the midst of her struggle. She’s married to Dr. W. Alan Dixon, and she has two sons and a service dog named Callie.
